The Claremont Institute invites you to join us for an evening gala celebrating the philanthropic achievements and cultural impact of Tom Klingenstein, Chairman of The Claremont Institute. This memorable occasion will begin with a cocktail reception, followed by a formal dinner, and will feature the presentation of the Henry Salvatori Prize in the American Founding to Tom Klingenstein, in recognition of his courageous leadership and bold action in the present battle to defend the American way of life.
The evening will be led by Mollie Hemingway, Editor-in-Chief of The Federalist and 2014 Claremont Institute Lincoln Fellow, as our Master of Ceremonies. You will hear from distinguished guests, including entrepreneur and 2024 Republican Presidential Candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, who will present his vision for securing the ideas of America’s founding. Claremont President Ryan P. Williams will reflect on the legacy and purpose of the Henry Salvatori Prize and how, in this critical hour, Klingenstein has commanded the efforts to safeguard America’s birthright against those who seek its destruction. To conclude the evening's celebration, our esteemed honoree, Tom Klingenstein, will deliver remarks upon accepting the Henry Salvatori Prize in the American Founding.
HONOREE
Our Salvatori Prize—named for a stalwart friend and counselor of both Ronald Reagan and the Claremont Institute—is awarded each year to an individual “who has distinguished himself or herself by an understanding of, and actions taken to, preserve and foster the principles upon which the United States was built.”
Each year’s recipient is worthy of deep admiration. This year, we are proud to present the Henry Salvatori Prize in the American Founding to Tom Klingenstein, in recognition of his commitment to the defense and preservation of the American Founding.
As Chairman of The Claremont Institute, Tom Klingenstein has directed resources, marshaled the forces, and transformed ideas into decisive action in service of Claremont’s mission “to restore the principles of the American Founding to their rightful, preeminent authority in our national life.”
Klingenstein has not simply observed the challenges facing America from afar; he has stepped into the fray himself. Through his extensive philanthropy, speeches, writing, and plays, Klingenstein boldly declares what many have long felt but been reluctant to voice, providing both moral clarity and a decisive call to action. As he warns, we are engaged in a "cold civil war" against the "Woke regime," which threatens to unravel the very fabric of our society if we resign ourselves to inaction. At our nation’s turning point, Tom Klingenstein has inspired a renewed sense of purpose and urgency among his fellow Americans.
